My PlantKeeper ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

1. Data We Collect

• Account data: email address and password (stored securely via Supabase Auth).
• Plant data: plant names, photos, care schedules, and notes you enter in the app.
• Location (optional): city name and coordinates if you enable weather-based watering advice. Never precise GPS.
• Usage data: anonymous crash reports and app performance metrics.

2. How We Use Your Data

• To provide and sync your plant care data across devices.
• To send local push notifications for watering and fertilizing reminders.
• To power AI plant identification and health diagnostics (images are sent to third-party AI providers and not stored by them).
• To provide weather-based care advice (location sent to Open-Meteo, a privacy-friendly weather API).

3. Data Sharing

We do not sell your data. We share data only with:

• Supabase – database and authentication hosting.
• OpenRouter / Google Gemini – AI processing of plant images (images are processed transiently and not stored).
• Open-Meteo – weather data (only your approximate city location is sent).
• RevenueCat – subscription management (when purchases are enabled).

4. Data Retention

Your data is retained as long as your account is active. You can delete your account and all associated data at any time by contacting us.

5. Children's Privacy

My PlantKeeper is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

6. Your Rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by emailing us.

7. Security

All data is transmitted over HTTPS and stored with industry-standard encryption.

8. Changes

We may update this policy. Significant changes will be communicated in-app.
